Dr. Akinnusi is an experienced Psychiatrist, who is board certified by the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology in both Adult and Child Psychiatry. After graduating from medical school at Olabisi Onabanjo University in Nigeria, she returned to England, United Kingdom where she was born. She trained while there at the Guys, Kings and Thomas Psychiatry Training Program before moving to the United states in 2002. She completed her General Psychiatry residency and Child Psychiatry Fellowship at the University at Buffalo, New York. She is a member of the American Psychiatric Association and the Clinical TMS Society.
Dr. Akinnusi has extensive experience in treating a wide variety of Psychiatric disorders in both Adults and Children. She utilizes a comprehensive approach including pharmacotherapy and Transcranial Magnetic Stimulation.
Dr. Akinnusi is a devoted Christian and is married with a Son. She enjoys travelling and reading.
Lindsay Thomas, PMHNP-BC has been a practicing psychiatric provider since 2007 and has been with Strongtower Behavioral Healthcare since 2015. She holds a Bachelor’s degree in Social Work from the University of Kentucky, and two Masters degrees from Vanderbilt University, in Human Development Counseling and in Psychiatric Mental Health Nursing. She is an ANCC Board Certified Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP-BC). Lindsay is experienced in treating adult patients in both private practice as well as community mental health settings. She has experience working with patients from different backgrounds and with a variety of mental health diagnoses. She brings a compassionate, non-judgmental approach to her practice and making sure her patients feel they are being heard is important to Lindsay. While focusing predominately on psychopharmacology, Lindsay encourages her patients to utilize a multi-pronged treatment approach. In addition to medication, she emphasizes attention to self-care, exercise, nutrition, and counseling. She currently primarily treats adults struggling with depression, anxiety, bipolar disorder, ADHD, and PTSD. Outside of the office, she enjoys spending time with her husband, daughter, and 2 dogs. She also enjoys traveling and spending time outdoors.
Yasmin Yazdanyar is the Practice Manager at StrongTower Behavioral Healthcare and has an extensive educational and professional background in the healthcare industry, spanning over 10 years. She holds a Bachelor’s of Healthcare Administration from National American University and is currently pursuing a Master’s of Clinical Psychology from Capella University. Her previous professional experience has given her the skills necessary to deliver excellent customer service, all while managing the day-to-day operations of the office. Yasmin is very passionate about providing the best patient care possible and will go above and beyond to ensure client satisfaction.
Jasmine Guterz is the Medical Assistant at StrongTower Behavioral Healthcare and has been an employee since August 2019. She handles any medication related inquiries, medical records, and TMS. Jasmine is a midwestern, from Chicago, Illinois, moving to Georgia in 2017. She received her certification for Medical Assisting in 2012 and has been working in the Behavioral Health field for the last 6 years. Jasmine is currently in the process of obtaining her PhD in Psychology at Georgia State University, in hopes of becoming a clinical therapist. Go Panthers
Debrael Ham is the Front Desk Associate at StrongTower Behavioral Healthcare and has been an employee since October 2016. She handles scheduling, medical records, processes patient’s payments. Debrael is from Atlanta, Georgia and received her bachelor’s degree in Health Science in December 2012 from Tennessee State University. She also completed a medical sonography program in June of 2019. She has been working in the Behavioral Health field for the last 5 years. Debrael is currently in the process of obtaining her Masters in Health Administration in hopes of becoming a clinical manager
Stephanie Welch, MSN, PMHNP-BC is a Board Certified Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner, with training and experience treating patients with psychiatric disorders across the lifespan and across practice settings, from hospitals to outpatient clinics. She specializes in treating PTSD/trauma, anxiety disorders, and depression. Her education includes a Master of Science in Nursing, Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner specialization, from Georgia College and State University in Milledgeville, Georgia. Stephanie brings to clinic a philosophy of holistic care for spiritual, mental and physical health. She is committed to individualized, personalized, comprehensive care for patients.
